The focus on children and their family opens new audience other than sci-fi fans, along with versatile cast, The Whispers offers a more accessible thriller. It follows a simple concept of an unknown presence that talks only to children.

People consider it as harmless fantasy before the message gets sinister. There's no gore or overly nasty scenes, this is a milder sci-fi show, which is understandable due to the delicate premise. However, it still presents a couple of eerie moments with just enough restrain and bizarre twist on the usually innocent children.
